Welcome! This is the home of Echoes of Evermore by DEROX!  A manga I wrote as a teenager in 2006-2009, I have begun redrawing it as a fun hobby and will post a chapter a month here at EvermoreArchive.com!

My grandmother, Shizuko, always bought me manga merch and I grew up reading manga daily, but I struggled to read regular books and was always frustrated by them. I later learned I had dyslexia, and it was simply easier for me to read manga.  I drew a lot as a youth, filling the endless time of childhood with my own stories and art. Life is a little harder and filled with tasks in my 30s, but I learned my parents kept my pencil drawn manga in a box. When flipping through the pages, I decided to redraw a comic I called “Evermore” for fun. 

My art was never good or consistent, but I hope to improve as I redraw it as Echoes of Evermore digitally! The first few chapters will be shaky as I find my style and learn to draw again. I’ll rely on a lot of references from greater artists, but I think I can figure myself out soon! I’m shooting for consistency and speed to get the story out quickly. If I win the lottery, I’ll be sure to pay a real artist to do all this heavy pen lifting! Until then, it’s been a fun journey learning to draw and watching my progress with each passing page. At the same time, I get to fulfill my childhood dream of creating my own manga!
